Teaching Artist
Ashley Payano is an Afro-Latina, singer-songwriter, actress and dancer based in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she spent time honing in on her multi-disciplinary crafts and Musical Theater and expanding her love for story-telling. Her 15 year love affair with writing provides a poetic lens for how she interacts with the world, with curiosity and wonder as a child does. This year it is this child-like creativity and outlook that has led her to complete the writing of a full length musical and a resource book for actors that she can’t wait to share with the World. She has enjoyed bringing her passion for imparting the wisdom of the arts to children and adults alike through her experience producing, co-directing, as a teaching artist and as a Musical Theater Dance movement instructor for kids. She is excited to share her light and openness with the bright team of Treasure Trunk.
