We offer interactive, engaging, theatrical programming for kiddos ages 0-9. Founded by a local Brooklyn mom over 10 years ago, Elisa Pupko and the Treasure Trunk team have grown a community of thousands of families across multiple neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Our experienced staff of enthusiastic and nurturing teaching artists welcome kiddos into the world of the performing arts through games, activities and exercises that will grow their confidence, encourage self-expression and enhance social-emotional and communication skills.

AVAILABLE CLASS STRUCTURES
Imagination Adventure – Ages 3-7 years
Act, Move, Create, and Play… Where will your imagination take you today? In this class, children will open our magical treasure trunk and go on an improvised theatrical adventure. The props and costumes inside the trunk provide the spark that inspires a new story in each class that we will create together using our voices, bodies, and imaginations. The group will dive under the sea, fly through the sky like a superhero, or tip-toe into a secret castle…all while finding clues and working as an ensemble alongside our enthusiastic and experienced teaching
artists.
This class focuses on strengthening collaboration and communication skills, and offers an exciting and engaging setting for each unique child to express themselves fully and begin to empathize with and relate to others.
Story Drama – Ages 3-7 years
Each class begins with physical and vocal theatre warm ups that will get children ready for the day’s exploration. The warm-ups focus on creating characters with our bodies and voices, sparking our imaginations, and working together as an ensemble. Students will then open our magical treasure trunk to reveal the story of the day. Students will then work as an ensemble to act out the story together, creating a deeper understanding of the characters, plots and themes. This class will encourage kiddos to confidently grow their self-expression skills, and their empathetic connection to their fellow mini-actors and the characters we discover.
Sing Along Adventure – Ages 0-4 years
We invite you and your child to join our energetic and engaging teaching artists to dance, sing and travel to exciting new places on an action-packed, magical, musical adventure! Each week, we open the magical treasure trunk and focus on a new theme that will spark our journey and songs for the day. Led by live accompaniment, we will row our boats down the stream, twinkle like a little star, visit Old MacDonald’s farm, and more. This class focuses on engaging our youngest adventurers through music and movement, and begins to introduce the building blocks of social-emotional learning and empathetic connection through theatrical play, and interaction with new places and characters each week.
Musical Theatre Fun – Ages 5-9 years
Singing, dancing, acting, collaborating…what more could your growing musical theatre performer want? In this exciting class students will have a chance to work with their peers to create a themed mini musical. Students will develop a script, work on ensemble skills, and learn choreography in an exciting, imaginative environment. The session ends in a small showcase performance for their families.
Mini Shakes – Ages 5-9 years
Shakespeare?!? For kids?!? You bet! William Shakespeare is one of the greatest storytellers to ever write for the stage and this class will introduce children to the beautiful language of Midsummer Night’s Dream. Using the actual text, music, artwork, and our imaginations, children will explore the language and world of the play making the text come to life. The semester will culminate in a final performance for family and friends. **Reading skills not required whatsoever!
After School Camp – Ages 3-9 years
In our custom after school camps, kiddos will embark on a semester of creating, collaborating, dancing, acting, crafting and more! This structure is very similar to our beloved summer camp curriculum – children will begin with engaging warm ups each class before opening the magical treasure trunk to reveal a craft project and a story book to act out each class – tailored to the theme of the camp. Your mini-actors will also work on exciting choreography, and
build ensemble skills with their fellow campers through theatrical games and exercises. The camp can be tailored to any theme that your group desires! Some popular themes include Encanto, Under the Sea, Superhero, Dinosaurs, Frozen, Outer Space and more.
